Vanessa Adame – PR / Media Liaison

Vanessa R. Adame has worked in the media industry for over ten years. She attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication specializing in Broadcasting.

Shortly thereafter, she was hired as a television reporter for KTXS TV in Abilene, Texas, while also helping to start up the first Spanish language television station in the city as a reporter and television anchor. She spent two years there before she married and moved to Northwest Florida and was soon working in public affairs for the U.S. Air Force. Several years later, she returned to work in television news for KFOX TV in El Paso, Texas. Her role there allowed her to manage a news bureau along the Texas-New Mexico border in Las Cruces, New Mexico, covering everything from flooding to politics and everything in between. At the same time, she worked with a local radio station reporting the news.

Her combined experience led her to a job “behind a desk” working as a media specialist for the City of Las Cruces. She now spends her time as a full-time mother of two in her “most-challenging role yet!”

When she’s not tending to her kids, she enjoys contributing to “A Book by Its Cover” in public relations efforts.
